Russ Sherry creates Elf architecture for ELF Books

As everyone, including elves, needs to know a good designer, we introduced the 'Elves of Middle Wales' to Russ Sherry when he did an Art Residency at the HoBB through our Wwoof (www.wwoof.org) Art Scheme

Russ is now helping them to build a series of Elf habitats around the HoBB Gardens. These are photographed as background shots and appear in many of the new Elf books published by LPB (Little People books).

It's been very useful having Russ here and he explained that traditional Radnorshire Elf Architecture is rarely built nowadays as modern gardeners favour 'fairy houses'. There's one example of a Cheshire Elf house at the HoBB and we are always keen to hear about other Elf houses around the World.

The Elf houses are also of great use in our storytelling sessions.
